Solar panel is a device that is installed to generate solar energy that can be used in lighting and other activities that need energy at homes or in commercial institutions. They are used across the globe to generate renewable energy. There are variety of solar panels in the market depending on the size, power rating and the manufactures. The following tools and equipment are used during solar PV installation include:

The solar PV installation procedure:

When you are installing the solar panel you should follow these quid lines to help you install the device effectively.

Erecting the scaffold:

The scaffold will provide working platform for the roofers; the scaffold ensures the roofers are safe as required.

Fitting the roof anchors

You should screw roof anchors to the roof rafters, but before that, check to see if the rafters are lying in relation to the roof tiles. Position the anchor on the tiles in the right position, check to make sure that the frames will sit straight as required.

Attaching the frames:

You should lock the aluminum bars that are part of the frame into the anchors and then attach them. Check for the straightness of these bars, the bars should be parallel to each other. This step will ensure that your panel will be correctly positioned.

Install the solar panel clamp:

Clamp your panel to the frame by either fitting it along the row or by column, you should take measures to ensure the panel is attached straight as required. Solar panel installation will look best when we fit the panels such that they run parallel to the edges near them. The installation should be such that it creates some aesthetic value to the roof.

Wire the panel on the roof:

Panels are wired by the manufacturers; we need to connect them to the roof depending on its voltage, power and amperage. The wires connecting the panels should be kept off the roof by ensuring that the cables are attached to the rails to which the panels are clamped.

Wiring the panel to inverter:

Run DC from the installed panel into the home. Small holes should be drilled on the slate to pass the cables inside; these holes are then made waterproof by using the lead soaker. Feed the wires into an inverter.

Inside the house:

All the property that will need electricity supply should be safely connected to the inverter. The consumer unit and the generation meter will have to be installed near fuse box that connects to the supply for safety purposes.

After the installation, switch on the inverter to power the system. Ensure you check the performance of the system to see if it works correctly.
